Wow, you just brought back a flood of memories. I almost want to go to the library and check one of these books out, assuming that the library still has them. We should drive to Stoneybrook, CT just for fun sometime this summer. Does it really exist? I don't know if Stoneybrook, CT really exists, but the movie was filmed in my hometown and the house used was my bishop's old house and whenever I go home I drive past the spot in the movie where Jessie is skipping down the sidewalk (odd that such a thing is still imprinted in my memory after all these years) in front of what is really Jane's Cakes and Chocolates. Oh my, memories. We should discuss in person.
I was a Boxcar Children gal myself, but appreciate the full-circle moment. Ah Callie.
